Hector Hydraulics was a case study given out by Saw Mill Capital, a lower middle market private equity firm, during an off cycle recruiting process.

While this case study follows the standard LBO model formula, it also includes an add on acquisition during the holding period. Additionally, while this case study does not include an investment memo, a detailed company overview is provided and it is expected that the candidate will gain a basic understanding of the hydraulics market. This understanding would then be tested during the discussion portion of the interview.
